On 6 November, the Network published its latest
EUREN Report, which offers a take on "Alternative futures of EU-Russia relations in 2030". It
outlines four alternative scenarios that could form EU – Russia relations in the following
decade (click

the Russian version).
The Report concludes that while the EU and Russia are unlikely to
overcome their disagreements in the decade ahead, they can achieve a pragmatic partnership that
safeguards peace and stability in Europe.
What are the assumptions for and likelihood
of such a partnership? Where do we stand at the end of the unprecedented and challenging
developments in 2020? What prospects are there for the sides to find a way out of the current
political crisis?
Invited guests had the opportunity to discuss these and other
questions with the EU Ambassador to Russia, Markus Ederer, and the Russian Ambassador to the EU,
Vladimir Chizhov, as well as with such pertinent experts like Sabine Fischer, Andrey Kortunov,
Kadri Liik, Ivan Timofeev and many other EUREN members.
